Bargoed Briefs

The 1st XV and the Warriors were both in action at the weekend but the Youth missed out again when Cwmbran pulled out on Saturday morning. The 1st XV came away with a 23-15 hard fought win from Bedlinog, and the Warriors lost 7-5 at Bridgend Athletic with a depleted side playing the last 10 minutes with 12 players. Try from Jake Thomas.

This week the 1st XV travel to Swansea for the Bulls first game in the Premiership Second Tier competition. They will be looking to build on recent performances against the All Whites, which has seen Bargoed triumph last season, and also get a bonus point win earlier this season. Bargoed know that this will be a tough challenge, and will look to get off to a good start with the slate wiped clean in the new Premiership structure. Good luck boys !

The Warriors are in the pool looking for a game, and the Youth are at home against Croesyceiliog RFC in a Dragons League fixture.

The club will be open after the Mini and Juniors have all played on Sunday, for the Italy v Wales game, which is a 2.30 p.m. Kick off. All welcome, get down the club and make some noise, and help the boys in red get off to a flying start in the Six Nations.
