Bargoed Stalwart Leaving the Club

Statement below from Lewis Protheroe

Right boys, where to start.

To say I've enjoyed the last 10 years or more would be a massive understatement.
There's been some real lows but some amazing highs.
It's been an honour and a privilege playing along side you all but an even bigger privilege getting to know you all.

My dream was to get bargoed into the premiership and now that I've achieved that with you it's time for me to do something else. I'm sure you've heard a few rumours but I have decided to join Pontypool, which has been the hardest decision I've ever had to make but I feel it's the right decision at this time.

You and the club have made a massive positive impact on mine and my families life for which I will always be indebted to you all.

I know you'll all smash it in the Prem this year as the work you've all put in has been outstanding and better than anyone else I know.

I hope I can still join you all for a beer when it's on offer 👍🏽.

I love you all boys, really do.

Peace out ✌🏼

The club would like to thank Lewis for all his efforts and wish him all the best, There will always be a welcome for him & his family in Bargoed rugby club

Personally played with Lewis for a number of years and a lovely guy off the field and brilliant player on it. Always had great support as well from his Dad who seems to be always in the club and his family. Good luck butty
