Covid Update

We hope that all players, parents, members and supporters associated with Bargoed RFC are safe and well.
As a club we were all very pleased when we could return to training in early August, even though the sessions were carried out under strick guidelines in order to keep everyone safe.

You will all be aware that several weeks ago the Welsh Government made the decision to introduce a number of restrictions on the Borough of Caerphilly due to the rising numbers of covid-19 positive tests. Following the introduction of these restrictions the WRU instructed all clubs, within the Caerphilly area, to suspend all training events.

We appreciate that this decision is disappointing, especially as we are aware that other sports are able to continue activities, but I would like to reassure everyone that we continue to work with the WRU so we can return to training as quickly as possible.

The decisions made are to help reduce the spread of the virus whilst keeping our players and coaches safe. When we are allowed to return to rugby we will continue to run sessions whilst following appropriate guidelines and we continue to hope that competitive rugby and normality returns in the very near future. However until then please continue to bear with us, stay safe and well and for all our players, young and old, stay fit. If you need any ideas on activities to maintain or improve your fitness please message your coaches who will be eager to help.

Many thanks
