The club is saddened to hear of the passing of club stalwart and life member Jeff Evans. Jeff played over 300 games for Bargoed at outside half and served asclub captain in the season 1969/70. Jeff continued his association with the club as a hard-working committee man who put a lot back into the club he loved, helping to make it what it is today . For many years Jeff promoted the club lottery, was an ever-present gate man at the park and for many years took on the responsibility of co ordinating club transport. Post match Jeff could be found in the clubhouse lounge chewing over that day’s game and reminiscing about days gone by with young and old alike.
We all offer our sincerest condolences his family and friends at this sad time.
